My Approach
I believe therapy can be effective and not overly clinical. I don’t claim to be an expert in my clients lives. I approach clients with curiosity about who they are and what they have experienced in life to better understand them.
My practice incorporates CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed techniques. I approach sessions with honesty, humor, and empathy. I openly ask for feedback to better understand you and your needs.
Finding at therapist that is the right fit can be hard, and when you are looking for a therapist that specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ it can feel impossible. I am an ally that is committed to being a safe person and creating a safe space in therapy.
My specialties include working with trauma, LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent clients, anxiety, depression, foster care, adoption, OCD, substance abuse, life transitions, grief, ADHD, stress management, and school/life balance.
